In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the opening of Appleton North High School, a special benefit performance will be presented on Sunday, May 17th at 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the Appleton North High School Auditorium.  Entitled “From This House,” the performance will feature North alumni who have pursued careers in the performing arts since graduating high school.  Among the alumni featured will be popular musicians Cory Chisel (class of 2000) and Hillary Reynolds (class of 2007), professional actor Katherine Biskupic (class of 2007), stand-up comedian, Sean Cundy (class of 2001), opera performers Ashley Mispagel (Class of 2007) and Luke Selker (class of 2010) and many others with careers ranging from theatre directors and choreographers to production managers to independent filmmakers .  Proceeds from the event will provide funds for scholarships for current North theatre and music students.  Jim Heiks, Appleton Area School District Fine Arts Coordinator and former North choral director will serve as emcee.  North theatre director, Ron Parker stated, “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognize and honor the varied and impressive performing artists who began their career paths on the stage at North.  It will be an amazing experience to bring together these different alumni spanning the twenty year history of the school.  Everyone we contacted without fail was so excited about the chance to participate and to celebrate the music and theatre programs at North which made such a lasting impact on their lives.  Several alumni who are unable to attend due to schedule conflicts are sending video messages which will be shown during the event. We are so blessed to know that the theatre and music programs at North over the past two decades have meant so much to so many who, though no longer students,  continue to pursue and excel in their artistic passions.  We hope the community will join us for this wonderful and entertaining celebration of North’s first twenty years.”   Admission to the event is $15.00.  Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.  Cash or check only for purchases made at the door.  Credit cards accepted for online purchases.  Further information can be found by emailing  northboxoffice@gmail.com  .
